Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a Distinguished Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many prizes and grants. She has been a consultant to numerous governments and agencies throughout the world regarding policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
